THE BRIEF
EE and Havas Play needed to engage families during the summer holidays and drive consideration of EE Home products, not through demonstration but through a live show and a broadcast special.
THE INSIGHT
The circus is the oldest metaphor for family chaos: plates spinning, balls in the air, acts that only work when everyone performs at exactly the right moment. This is a metaphor for EE Home ‘s proposition. The router keeping every device connected is the ringmaster keeping every act in sync.

THE BIG IDEA
The home is the circus ring. EE is what keeps every act in the air.

THE EXPERIENCE
In five acts, The Circus followed the Hooper family through one chaotic school holiday day: breakfast bedlam, work-from-home meltdowns, bedtime chaos.
In five acts, The Circus followed the Hooper family through one chaotic school holiday day: breakfast bedlam, work-from-home meltdowns, bedtime chaos. The kind of day every parent in the audience recognised immediately.
Performed at HERE at Outernet in the heart of London’s West End, the show brought that chaos to life through acrobatics, tumbling, juggling and aerial skills, each act building to a familiar tension before an EE Home solution quietly restored order. Parental wi-fi controls, Game Mode, EE TV: product stories woven into the drama rather than bolted on top.
Four sold-out performances ran across the summer holidays, with tickets priced at just £5 to reflect the reality that 39% of parents struggle to find affordable activities. All proceeds went to HomeStart UK.
Then the show travelled. A 30-minute broadcast version launched on EE TV and YouTube during October half-term, taking the performance into living rooms across the country and giving millions of families a free shared experience at exactly the moment they needed one most.
Live spectacle and broadcast combined. A brand story told entirely through the artistry of circus, without ever feeling like an ad.
