THE BRIEF

Take The Good Randoms, the fictional animated band that had become the breakout star of Brawl Stars’ most-watched YouTube content in 2025, and make them real. A surprise takeover between the semi-finals and finals of the Brawl Stars World Finals at DreamHack Stockholm.

THE INSIGHT

We had to authentically bring The Good Randoms into the physical world. Holograms were out of budget, mascots felt too tacky and cosplay would make them too much like the fans. Live performance was key, but they had to feel like they were the Good Randoms of our world.

THE BIG IDEA

Good Randoms hacked the stage, stepping out of the game as their real world selves

THE PRODUCTION

Moments before the Brawl Stars World Finals began, the stage at DreamHack went dark. The Good Randoms logo appeared across every screen in hacker-style graphics, followed by the Supercell logo and then the band took the stage.

Buzz, Poco and Stu arrived first, launching into My Only Trophy. These were the real-world versions of the beloved animated trio: not a dinosaur, a robot and a skeleton, but a live boyband with costume nods to their in-game counterparts. They lip-synced the track with high-energy street and commercial choreography woven through with acrobatics, while bespoke visuals played across the video wall behind them.
Then came the second takeover. Pop diva Melodie made her entrance, played by Yoon Kim, a real K-Pop singer and musical theatre actor performing live vocals alongside the band. At one point the boys lifted her and spun her into the shape of a giant “I”, a direct reference to her iconic in-game pose. Fellow Good Random Janet appeared from the crowd to cover Melodie’s quick costume change, before she returned in full K-Pop star mode for the mighty final chorus, the whole band singing and dancing together to bring the set home.
The entire production was created in-house by Studio Secret Cinema: original costumes, hair and makeup, choreography, staging direction, and bespoke animated stage visuals. A complete production package delivered at esports scale.
